Symbiosis Institute of Technology , PuneSymbiosis Institute of Technology is a constituent of Symbiosis International University, established in the year 2008. Currently, it offers B. Tech programmes in Civil, Computers, Electronics & Telecommunication, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The Institute plans to start Master’s Programmes in specialized areas of Engineering & Technology with industry participation in the near future. Research programmes leading to Ph. D. Degree have already been started in the Faculty of Engineering of Symbiosis International University. The Institute provides an environment conducive for harnessing the potential of both faculty and students through systematic and effective planning and control of the teaching and learning process, both within and outside the classroom. The basic teaching and learning process is supplemented by organizing techfests, cultural programmes, sports competitions, Industry-Institute meets, guest lectures by renowned personalities and student exchange programmes with foreign universities.

Dr. T. P. Singh, Director, Symbiosis Institute of Technology completed his B. Tech. Mechanical Engineering in 1978, M. E. Industrial engineering in 1989 and Ph. D. Engineering in 1994, all from prestigious Thapar University, Patiala. He has more than 24 years of Teaching & Research experience and about 10 years of industrial experience. He occupied the positions of Professor & Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, Dean, Academic Affairs, Dean, Resource Planning and Generation, Director, CII-TDB-T NET and Acting Director at Thapar University, Patiala.
Dr. Singh has guided 8 Ph.D. and 42 M.Tech. students. He has a large number of publications in peer reviewed International and National journals. He also has presented papers in conferences, both at International and National levels. He has also been actively engaged in consultancy and sponsored R&D projects.
