Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences , PuneSymbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) is a constituent of the prestigious Symbiosis International University (SIU). SIHS has conceptualized & implemented a group of professional up-gradation programmes meant to equip the healthcare professionals with the appropriate tools in order to survive this age of fierce competition and specialisation. The SIHS is associated with major tertiary care hospitals of the city to provide the necessary “hands on” clinic & para clinical experience, necessary for the students pursuing these hospitals based academic programmes. A formal Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the major private as well as governmental hospitals for the same.

Dr. Rajiv graduated from the prestigious B. J. Medical College, Pune in 1985, securing top honours in General Surgery & Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
He completed his Masters in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1989 & was awarded the Gold Medal by Pune University for his outstanding academic performance.
He topped the list of successful candidates of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) and joined the B. J. Medical College & Sassoon General Hospitals, Pune as faculty in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Family Welfare.
He was invited by the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman from 1992 – 1996, where his work was highly appreciated. Having extensively travelled to the Middle East, South East Asia, USA, and Europe, he is proficient in German & Arabic.
Dr. Rajiv conceptualized & set up the Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC), the healthcare unit for the staff & students of the Symbiosis family. Under his leadership, the SCHC also conducts a number of community oriented health care projects focusing on student’s preventive, curative, and promotive health. Dr. Rajiv has contributed a number of articles on the same in many leading newspapers and magazines.
Besides ensuring delivery of quality health care services, the Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), offers a number of unique, innovative, need based and career oriented academic programmes pertinent to the health care sector.
Dr. Rajiv is associated with various other professional bodies like IMA, FOGSI and social organizations like FICCI etc.
