Symbiosis School of Banking Management was established in June 2010 to address the growing demand for trained workforce in the Banking and Financial Services Sector. Given that a strong and resilient banking system is critical for fueling and sustaining growth, the importance of having industry-ready manpower cannot be over-emphasized.This programme-MBA (Banking Management) has been designed to provide the necessary education and skill-sets to equip students to innovate, manage, lead and take on the challenges of this increasingly complex and dynamic sector. SSBM is located in a 300 Acre sprawling campus of Symbiosis International University, Knowledge village.The tranquil ambience of SSBM in Lavale and the kaleidoscopic mountains in the backdrop emanates an aura of peaceful magnificence and is conducive for learning.

Director’s Profile

Dr. Bhama Venkataramani has 24 years of teaching experience, teaching subjects of Accounting and Financial Management. She is currently guiding four Ph.D students registered under Symbiosis International University. She is also an external referee for M.Phil students of SNDT University.

She has presented papers at conferences and seminars in India and abroad. Her research interests lie in areas of financial inclusion and inclusive education.

She has to her credit, a monograph on Factoring Service published by Think Line publishers, Nashik. She has co-authored three textbooks in Accountancy: for the syllabus prescribed by the University of Pune for B.Com course, a textbook for Std XI in Book keeping & Accountancy for the syllabus prescribed by the Maharashtra State Board for Higher Secondary Education and a book on Business Organization and Systems for the syllabus prescribed by the University of Pune for BBA.

Dr. Bhama Venkataramani has a Post Graduate degree in Commerce, a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Services, a Degree in Education and a Doctoral degree in Financial Management and is SET qualified.

Prior to her present assignment, she was the director of Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies (UG).
